Police Nab Kidnap Suspect, Fake Lawyer In Oyo

Oyo PoliceThe Oyo State Police Command has appealed to members of the public to always monitor their wards and safeguard them from evil perpetrators.

The appeal was made by the Oyo State Commissioner of Police, Adeleye Oyebade, while parading a suspect who kidnapped his sister’s three-year-old child for a ransom of 200,000 Naira.

Mr Oyebade urged the state residents to be absolutely sure to take safety measures to avoid the abuse of their children as much as possible.

He added that prompt information led to the rescue of the baby alive, urging residents of the state to continue to trust the Police with more of such information.

The Commissioner wondered what could have happened to the rescued child if the Police had not been informed early enough.

He said that the onslaught against crime would be intensified, expressing confidence of better results as the community policing strategy has proven effective.

In his response, the 26-year-old kidnap suspect claimed that his friend, who was at large, masterminded the abduction. He confessed that he had kept the child for two days before he was arrested.

The Police also nabbed a 62-year-old man who said he once studied Law but tried fruitlessly three times to get admitted to the Nigerian Law School.

According to him, he determined to practice anyway and had appeared in court defending people on many occasions before luck ran out on him.



Police Parade Suspected Criminals In Calabar

The Cross-River State command has disclosed the arrest of suspected kidnappers and armed robbers caught at different locations.

Briefing news men at the State CID, the Commissioner of Police, Henry Fadairo said the command upon getting information of kidnapped cases and stolen cars immediately swung into action and rescued the victims unharmed and recovered stolen cars.

He used the medium to reassure members of the public that the command has the capacity, capability and will to deal with any one who may want to harass, and intimidate residents of the state.

The Commissioner also cautioned the public be security conscious in their day to day deeds to avoid been harassed and report any incidence of crime promptly.


Kogi Police Parade Suspected Robbers And Kidnappers In State

Police-NigeriaThe Kogi State police command has paraded 27 suspected kidnappers and armed robbers terrorizing the state in the last five months.

The State Commissioner of Police, Yakubu Usman who paraded the suspects before newsmen at the state police headquarters in Lokoja said there are some notorious criminals who have been on the police wanted list.

Residence of Kogi state have been under attack by either kidnappers who will in turn demand for ram while some robbers attack both at night and day.

The Commissioner of Police on resumption into office a few weeks ago, went into action with his men and their new improved strategy operation put in place, twenty seven of the suspected kidnappers and armed robbers were arrested with weapons and ammunition recovered by the special anti-robbery squared (SAR) on their recent operation across the state.

The Commissioner of Police in the state Yakubu Usman while briefing pressmen and some senior police officers in his office on the development, said as a result of hard work of men in his command they have recorded some success, while he promised to tackle criminality in the state with vigor.

One of the suspect Ogrima Onuku whom the police said has been on there wanted list since 2014, alleged to have been impersonating with an identity card from the presidency, also snatched a black Camry car, and has been using it for political purposes, explained to journalist his involvement in the robbery.

This kidnappers also explain their involvement and how much they were paid.
